Day 6- Work & Play

Today began like any other morning, breakfast then work. We continued to put up the walls all morning while also playing with the kids until lunch. After lunch, the majority of the girls went to an orphanage while the 3 boys, Emilio (a Panama worker) and Bridget, Ruth and I stayed in town to work on the site some more. It was tough work with half the people we normally have. Emilio has only just begin to learn English via Rosetta Stone so it was a little tricky knowing what to do and when, but we did it. I also hung out with my little favorite, Haiti. She fell asleep in my arms today!!!! So precious. Another boy, José Luís who is 9 (looks about 6 because he's SO small!) kept playing with me and just wanted to be held and hugged. He plays all tough guy on the outside, but really he is the sweetest kid in the world. While we were packing up the truck to go back home for the day, I was holding Haiti and kept holding her arms so she could crawl up my chest and do a back flip. Well, she missed a lot and kept kicking my face. When we got home we realized my face was COVERED in mud with little footprints, oops. Overall, today was a success. Tomorrow we must finish the walls, put interior walls in, and possibly paint?, then the skilled men will put up the roof! Off to go eat dinner... Has anyone heard about this Kony movement??? We are all going to watch the youtube clip tomorrow.
