I am getting so so excited to go to Nicaragua this upcoming March!
Nicaragua is the
largest country in Central America yet it is the second poorest country in the
Americas. Almost half of the population lives below the poverty line along with
80% of the population living with less than $2 per day. Our trip will be
working with Panorama to replace the substandard dwellings that many
Nicaraguans live in with permanent housing. Along with shelter we will be
providing security and dignity for families in need of help.
The top 3 pictures are the living conditions of typical Nicaraguans and what their homes look like. The last picture is the gate to my hotel resort!
I am so thankful for this opportunity to go to Central America and to help individuals less fortunate than myself.
