Research

I am officially done collecting data for my research position for the semester!  While it was a lot of work, I am so thankful I have been given this opportunity to jump start my future with children.  I have already learned so much about the development of children in just the past 2 months alone.  We recently finished inputting all of our data into our SPSS computer system and I cannot wait to start preparing for UURAF (University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum).  I will be doing this with a pretty cool girl who goes by the name of JAIMIE!  We are doing our topic on Parent Involvement and their effects on Early Language & Literacy.  We will do more research within our own circle of research from the past few months, create a poster, and present the findings from our research, answer questions about our work from audience members and guests, and receive constructive feedback from judges.  Now, for the last few weeks of the semester I will go back to being a teacher's aide at 2 different schools with the 2-3 year olds since research is over and I cannot wait.  That age is too stinkin' cute!
