The end of an era

I just experienced my last ever Izzone game as a student. Wah :( I camped out for over 9 hours in order to reserve my spot with a good seat. Let me tell you it was freezing, but worth it. It definitely brought even MORE excitement into the air, meeting new people, making friends, and just showing how much love and dedication for our school is in the air! Did you know The Breslin had never had two Top 5 teams play against each other there since it opened its doors? So cool to experience that live! Despite the loss, I do know it could have been WAY worse. Below are pictures from the day and senior night. P.S. I hop anybody reading this was able to experience the booty whooping of Michigan in East Lansing last week!! SO. MUCH. FUN.

Weekend-Trip!

This past weekend I was able to go to ARIZONA to visit with the greatest friend in the world and her wonderful family!  I also got to experience my first graduate school interview!  Go Midwestern!! What a treat it was to last minute hop on a plane and forget about school..even if just for a little while! :)

Life as I know it.

Well, after two long months and 9 credits worth of classes, I am finally done with Michigan State summer classes..hopefully FOREVER.  Such a relief.  My days now consist of either working, studying for my OT class, or applying to OT schools.. and trying to have some fun now and then.  It's the beginning of a long, dreadful process, but I truly cannot wait until the day I have handed in my last application.  I've literally been dreaming of becoming an occupational therapist for the past 5 years and LIVE for the day I open up a letter saying that someone wants me to be an OT as much as I do.  Thank goodness for a job that lets me do some homework and for this hot hot heat so I don't really feel like I'm missing out on toooo much :)

Alternative Spring Break

Tomorrow I embark on my week-long journey!  The land of volcanoes and lakes!!!  I am nervous about what I will see and do... but I am also so excited for warm weather and making a difference!

I've got my bags packed filled with tanks & shorts, goggles & work gloves ready, a book in stow... I. Am. READY!!!!!!!!!!

Spring!

Happy First Day of Spring! :)

announcement.

I just wanted to make an announcement that it is currently 55 degrees here in East Lansing, Michigan.  Sun is completely out and it's B-E-A-utiful!!!  Beth and I just got done cleaning the entire apartment, from coat closets to the deck and it feels SoOo nice!!!!  I love being clean and having a lovely smelling apartment.

I'm halfway through the semester and cannot wait for the warm weather and summer to be here!!!  I need some Vitamin D.

Daylight.

So today in geography class I learned that Barrow, Alaska has 24 hours of sunlight per day in June/July/August.  Then in December & January 0 hours of daylight!!! Can you imagine?!  I don't think I'd ever get on a sleep schedule.

Spring?!

It is over 40 degrees here today!!!! It feels like spring and I am so excited.  Oh, and it's supposed to be 50 degrees by FRIDAY!  On the blogs I'm following everyone is posting a "happy list", so here's mine for the week...

I am very jealous of this girl because she gets to go to AUSTRALIA for 6 months.  Humph.  But I cannot wait to read about all her journeys via her blog :)

Huge snow storm coming! Correction: Such a big snow storm is coming that Michigan State University is closed tomorrow.  First time it's closed in 40+ years! 10-16 inches expected in the next 24 hours!
